The venue of the Workshop is in city Khabarovsk situated in Far East of Russia. Khabarovsk being a glorious city on the picturesque Amur River. The history of Khabarovsk begins on May 31, 1858, when the military post of Khabarovka was founded at the confluence of the two largest rivers of the Far East — the Amur and Ussuri. November 2 (October 21 according to the old style) of 1893 the city was renamed Khabarovsk in honor of the pioneer Erofei Khabarov.
Khabarovsk is the major economic, cultural and educational center. There are more than two dozen higher educational institutions. Theater life in Khabarovsk will not leave indifferent even sophisticated viewers. Of great interest to visitors are the expositions of city museums devoted to the history and life of the peoples of the region, art and painting. The main architectural attraction of the city is the 3rd tallest church in Russia Spaso-Preobrazhensky Cathedral. The lakes Gorodskie Prudi are famous for their fountains with the light show.
